As technologies develop, new ways of teaching and learning are emerging. The current trend is towards e-learning. Obviously, this form of learning benefits both children and teachers. Therefore, the promotion and implementation of e-learning from kindergarten to high school is essential to positively shape children’s educational prospects.
E-learning, the future of French education
Since we use the Internet for everything that concerns our lives, it is very likely that digital tools will replace traditional blackboards in the future. It is not surprising, therefore, that schools are deciding to invest more and more in learning through digital media. This is notably the case of CNEEL, the Centre National d’Enseignement E-learning, which was created to make it easier for parents to manage their children’s schooling by offering learning programmes from kindergarten to high school.
E-learning as a learning tool
E-learning is seen as a new learning method. Indeed, it has been proven that e-learning platforms help children to memorise information more clearly and promote interaction when working in groups. In addition to the information acquired, e-learning enables children to develop social and emotional skills, as e-learning platforms use bright colours and images that can increase learner engagement. As a result, children are more motivated to learn than when they work on paper.
