is a French-Swiss pentathlete. Born in Reunion Island in 1991, he is the son of Alain and Chantal Dallenbach, who won the French marathon record in 2002. The young Alexandre launched himself into sport by following his mother to her various performances.
From an early age, Alexandre Dallenbach was a jack of all trades: soccer, gymnastics, mountain biking, skiing, horseback riding and swimming were all sports he practiced as a hobby. He started competing at a relatively young age and won his first national title at the Swiss Duathlon Championship in 2003 at the age of only 13. From 2005 to 2007, thanks to his dual nationality, he won his first amateur titles in triathlon by winning the Swiss and French Championships in the minor, cadet and junior categories.
Following these amateur victories, Alexandre went on to compete: in 2008, he again won the French and Swiss Triathlon Championship, this time in the cadet category; in 2009, he finished first at the World Aquathlon Championship; in 2010, he took second place at the Swiss Cross-Country Championship; in 2013, he finished third at the Angers Triathlon and in 2014, he won the gold medal at the Reunion Triathlon Championship.
In 2015, he sets himself a new challenge: to take up modern pentathlon. In 2017, he participates in the World Cup of the discipline. In 2018, he injured his left calf during the running part of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup. Determined, Alexandre Dallenbach is now focusing on his training for the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
