Presentation of Sweetcom

Sweetcom was born from the will of its founder Raphaël Mignon to accompany individuals and companies in the field of renewable energies from the diagnosis to the installation. To do so, the company offers solutions adapted to the needs of its customers in terms of equipment and budget.

Through its network covering the whole of France, the company develops an energy saving and environmental protection project following a tailor-made approach. All this is part of an original approach to the renewable energy sector in France. A booming market that each player tries to approach from a particular angle. This is how Sweetcom wishes to contribute through its expertise in accompanying the ecological transition and the improvement of housing. This is why the company works every day to promote renewable energies and more particularly solar energy, heating and thermal insulation solutions.

The particularity of Sweetcom is to accompany its customers during all the steps of the installation process in a direct way and without subcontractors. That said, the company presents itself as the one and only interlocutor intervening with more than 100 installation and maintenance teams. The follow-up of the work is entirely computerized from diagnosis to installation. The brand also has storage warehouses throughout France. The work teams ensure quality follow-up and immediate reactivity in relation to its customers’ expectations.

Sweetcom has a high-performance technical service and an after-sales service that listens to its customers. As well as a dozen technicians all dedicated to the support of professionals and individuals. In order for the company to be infallible towards its partners, it will respond effectively to the needs of consumers in terms of solar energy, heating systems and insulation.

Sweetcom has taken strong orientations which vary according to the field of activity. For the residential sector, at a time when France has reached grid parity, the aim is to offer individuals turnkey solutions for energy production and savings, as well as any energy optimisation system, such as aerovoltaics and its heat recovery principle.

As far as sales to professionals are concerned, Sweetcom has to be attentive to feedback from the field in order to continue to offer competitive and accessible solutions. Also to propose the most practical implementation solutions possible. It is these recipes that today have enabled the company’s teams to be present everywhere in France.

Concerned about the reliability of its services and the maintenance of its position in the renewable energy sector, Sweetcom invests heavily in the training of its teams and the improvement of its equipment. Since its inception, the brand has accumulated 17 years of expertise. Today, the company covers 100% of the French territory. With 100 installation teams and 600 employees, it has equipped more than 50,000 private individuals to date. Its turnover is currently around 55 million euros.

Sweetcom: ecological solutions

An increasing number of buildings are equipped with solar photovoltaic systems, which should be expanded as part of the development of positive energy buildings. In the past, photovoltaics in buildings has developed thanks to the very attractive resale of the electricity produced to the grid operator.

This situation has changed today. The grid operator buys this electricity at a significantly lower feed-in price. The price of the systems makes photovoltaics competitive on the market. However, there is a gap between the so-called photovoltaic electricity production periods (solar periods) and the periods when this electricity is consumed in the building.

This is the principle of intermittent energy. It will also be interesting to look for storage solutions to be able to store the energy generated on Saturdays and Sundays when the building is empty, for example, so that it can be used in the store at the beginning of the following week. We are in a growing market. Sweetcom France is working on the competitiveness of the systems in order to make them more economical, on the design of the installations to improve the coherence between the periods of production, storage and consumption of the building and finally creates a clear legal framework for the development of this new market.

The role of companies is essential to accompany the expansion of renewable energies in buildings. In fact, they are the guarantors of a good design of the installations that meet the customer’s needs, as well as the implementation and maintenance of these systems according to the rules of technology. This is why the energy performance of buildings has become a new challenge that Sweetcom France wishes to take up through competitive offers.

The energy performance diagnosis (DPE), made mandatory since 2017 during real estate transactions, has pushed future buyers to take into consideration the energy factor in the evaluation of a building. For professionals, the watchword is now energy efficiency and ecological responsibility. In order to meet a growing demand in this area, Sweetcom offers three types of energy solutions, solar energy, heating and insulation. These three components are of crucial importance in defining the energy performance of a home or business premises.

Solar energy for self-consumption

Free, natural and abundant, solar energy is used today in a system that allows the production of electricity for domestic or industrial use and offers the possibility of reselling electricity to ENEDIS. These are photovoltaic panels.

Sweetcom France offers individuals and professionals alike a complete range of photovoltaic solutions, installing solar roofs with integration into the building or with simplified integration, and the company is committed to accompanying its customers during the various stages of the project to produce for self-consumption or to resell their own electricity to ENEDIS.

New buildings built from 2020 onwards will have to consume less energy than they produce. Photovoltaic panels are designed to make the energy balance of a building positive by producing more energy than that spent by housing.

The brand supports its customers in order to optimize the efficiency of the photovoltaic panels. To do this, the technicians in place study the orientation of the building in a precise way so as to take advantage of the sun’s heat input in winter and avoid excess temperatures in summer. The teams of technicians are also trained to select materials with high thermal inertia for the structure of the dwellings. By choosing to work with the company, individuals and professionals can easily save on your energy bill and thus participate in the protection of the environment.

Heating solutions

Two thirds of the housing built in France dates from before 1974. Green culture and the principle of energy saving were not a priority at all at the time. Industrialization was in full swing and no energy regulations existed yet. Nowadays, things have changed, the reduction of greenhouse gases is a major stake in the preservation of the planet. This new reality requires housing to gradually abandon old boilers and opt for more environmentally friendly solutions. With this in mind, Sweetcom has implemented five heating solutions:

  • Heat pumps: The proposed heat pump solution allows to heat an entire home through a system that captures the calories in the outside air, heats it and then distributes it throughout the house. The heat pumps are equipped with sound insulation, special components insulate the compressor from the pump for guaranteed comfort.
  • Domestic hot water: The thermodynamic water heater proposed by Sweetcom allows to consume up to 3 times less energy than a conventional electric water heater. And allows to provide 50 % to 70 % of the domestic hot water needs. No intervention is made on the roof, the water heater is easily integrated into the construction for new homes.
  • Wood heating: 100% ecological solution. Pellet or pellet appliances offer warmth and comfort. Easily programmable, the appliance’s settings adapt to your lifestyle. Sweetcom proposes the integration of a pellet insert to enjoy the beauty of your fireplace without having to use logs.
  • Electric heating: Sweetcom offers a quality and easy to maintain material. The proposed electric radiators require a low investment cost while ensuring high energy performance. The company recommends radiators equipped with regulation and programming systems. The two associated devices can reduce the energy bill of a house by 10 to 25%. The thermostats positioned on the radiators and on the boiler allow the temperature level to be chosen for each room in the house and adapt consumption according to the seasons (summer/winter) and the ambient temperature of the residence.
  • Gas and oil boilers: Sweetcom proposes the replacement of old gas or propane equipment by a high energy performance Bosch boiler equipped with a condensing system where combustion is optimized by an energy recovery system that would otherwise be lost in the fumes. This saves the customer more than 30% in energy costs compared to the conventional boiler type.

Insulation solutions

To efficiently insulate your home, Sweetcom has developed solutions adapted to save a maximum of energy and innovative to guarantee the occupants a maximum of comfort in winter as well as in summer. Four types of insulation are available to customers;

  • Attic insulation
  • Façade insulation
  • Insulation of closures
  • Roof insulation

In addition to comfort and energy savings, the solutions contribute to the enhancement of your property while contributing to the sustainable development of our planet.

Innovative systems for greater energy efficiency

By 2050, more than 85% of the world’s energy consumption will have to come from green and renewable energy sources. The only way to achieve this is to offer innovative solutions that are increasingly focused on energy saving. Sweetcom, as a major player in the field of alternative energy solutions in France, gives particular importance to innovative systems. Thus the company offers its customers the latest generation equipment. We will give three very significant examples:

  • SweetSolar: As an innovative aerovoltaic solution, Innovation Award 2013. This technology guarantees an optimal result that combines electricity production and reversible air conditioning system.
  • The Innovasol battery: It is the first aerothermal solar battery. At night when the ambient air is colder, your system continues to provide heat thanks to the new Innovasol battery. Even without the presence of solar rays, your energy savings do not stop and your comfort is prolonged.
  • Ecobox 2: A home automation solution that reduces your energy consumption by up to 25%. Thanks to a control by smartphone or tablet the control of your devices is completely centralized. The high-tech device can optimize solar self-consumption by up to 90% and limits to the maximum the surplus sent to the ENGIE network.

The will to protect the environment is at the heart of Sweetcom France‘s commercial strategy. The company seeks to give a major objective to its activity: to make environmental protection and customer satisfaction both a challenge and a source of motivation for all of its 600 employees.
