Today, many countries are interested in wind energy and recognize it as an efficient and competitive source of electrical energy. All over the world, wind energy is developing. Over the last ten years we have had an average annual growth rate of 30%. According to the GWEC (Global Wind Energy Council), the world’s installed wind power capacity in 2016 reached 57,000 MW, exceeding the symbolic figure of 500,000 MW in March 2017. Europe has taken the lead in the development of wind energy and is also characterised by its dynamism in the development of this form of energy. It is the second largest region in the world in terms of fleet growth (+12,400 MW in 2016), with a capacity of 153,700 MW. France is in fourth place, with nearly 12,000 MW of installed capacity. Alpes Energies Nouvelles is one of the players involved in this development.
Why choose wind power?
Each wind turbine emits a power of about 2 million watts, which can power about 2,000 households, excluding heating. Today in France, there are 1300 wind turbines. 70 wind turbines are currently installed on 16 different sites supplying 150,000 households in northern France with electricity. The costs of wind energy are clearly close to those of nuclear energy. The development of wind power plants has made it possible to build installations in rural areas, where the winds are regular. Even if their infrastructures are not yet fully studied and require improvements, the wind power system is easier to connect to the electricity grid than the nuclear system. Wind energy is renewable, it is not harmful to the atmosphere, and its distribution in the electricity grid allows fuel savings in nuclear or thermal power plants. Alpes Energies Nouvelles collaborates with more than 50 professionals in the field of renewable energy to meet your needs.
Any studies to be carried out before installation
If you have enough space to install your wind turbine, be sure to keep the distance between it and your house in mind, as the greater the distance, the greater the energy loss. It is possible to install your wind turbine device directly on your house, if your house is a new construction, and the integration of the turbine has been planned by its manufacturer. If you wish to install a wind turbine at home, Alpes Energies Nouvelles assists you with all the procedures and work to be carried out, in particular: administrative checks (consultation of the Local Town Planning in town hall), a site study (trees, obstacles, gradients….), a soil study (drilling, ultrasound, soil analysis), excavation (digging the foundations of the wind turbine and trenches for cable routing), reinforcement and custom foundations following the soil study, crane operation (installation of the mast and wind turbine), electrical connection (connection of the regulator, rectifier, batteries and/or inverter). Alpes Energies Nouvelles collaborates with several professionals to provide you with a preliminary study, to ensure all wind energy installations, to monitor the efficiency of the system and even for any after-sales service agreed in the contract.
