8 new Android 11 features you’ll love!

It is true that installing Android 11 today on your smartphone is a risky bet because of the bugs it may contain since the official version has not yet been released and is still in development. However, a few new features suggest that this version will be the most successful of all. Without further ado, SFAM is compiling a list of these new features that are currently being echoed and that will improve your user experience.

What does Android 11 have in store for us?

Among the features that Android 11 will offer to its users we can mention :

  1. Mute notifications while recording a video: Receiving a notification while filming a video can be very annoying. Therefore, Android 11 allows you to mute notifications at this time.
  2. Increase touch sensitivity: If you use screen protection you’ll love this new feature. Google has added an option called ‘increase touch sensitivity’ in the settings menu that allows you to increase the sensitivity of your touch screen.
  3. Notification history: Previously, Android didn’t allow you to easily see previously rejected notifications, in fact the Android 10 notification log was practically hidden from users. The good news is that with Android 11, you’ll have access to a complete history for your notifications.
  4. Airplane mode doesn’t remove Bluetooth: Previously, enabling airplane mode also disabled Bluetooth on your phone, something many users found meaningless. Indeed, people using airplane mode could have Bluetooth headsets connected! In Android 11, Bluetooth remains enabled even when airplane mode is enabled.
  5. Application to pin in the sharing menu: Android used to allow you to pin your most frequently used applications. Deleted in Android 10, this option is back on Android 11.
  6. Better adaptations to new technologies: Android 11 will be much better adapted to new technologies such as folding screens, streaming video games or 5G.
  7. Scrolling screenshots could happen: It seems that with Android 11, Google has finally decided to bring support for scrolling screenshots on Android! A feature long awaited by many users.
  8. Improved call filtering service: To better protect users from unwanted calls, Google is adding new APIs to make call filtering possible. These applications will now be able to report why a call was rejected, and see if a call was made to or from a number in the user’s contacts.

Keep in mind that there are tons of other updates of a much more technical nature. But these will probably not be released until the official release of this long-awaited OS. So, between now and the stable launch of Android 11, stay tuned!
